Reduce carbon emissions
Loch Rannoch Hotel is implementing a number of measures to save energy and reduce carbon emissions.
Over 80% of the Estate uses energy-efficient LED bulbs with many operating on an automatic sensor throughout the hotel and leisure facilities.
Solar panels will be reinstated for the new Rannoch Spa, with the goal to further expand the use of renewable energy sources. Plans are in place to install a number of EV electrical charging points in the hotel car park.
Loch Rannoch Hotel promotes outdoor activities as a means of alternative transport including walking and cycling as the best way to explore the local area, with a number of bikes available to hire.
Reduce water waste
In line with our sustainable values, reducing water use and waste is highly important to us and has been implemented across the Estate.
In each of our 52 guest bedrooms, a complimentary hospitality tray is provided with refillable bottles of still and sparkling water, courtesy of our ‘Pure Water’ system. We have significantly reduced the volume of single use plastics through using reusable containers and removing single use stirrers.
Cutting back on single use items in guest rooms, guest information can be found digitally on our TV system.
Guests staying in the hotel are encouraged to re-use towels and linen, with the option to opt out of daily cleaning services
Responsible sourcing
Loch Rannoch Hotel is proud to support regional farmers and suppliers where possible.
As part of our commitment to invest and support the local community, we have partnered with local businesses and activities and actively encourage our guests to support and spend locally.
Support local community
We strongly believe in investment and involvement within the local community. As part of the hotel refurbishment we are developing facilities that benefit local residents including previously abandoned walking trails and reinstating the marina and slipway.
Loch Rannoch Hotel supports local community groups including Rannoch Paths, to help fund better accessible pathways in and around Kinloch Rannoch and conserve the landscape.
