WATERSPORTS AND OUTDOOR PURSUITS
We are delighted to have renovated and reinstated our Marina complex, with a new range of kayaks, paddleboards and watersports activities. Explore the shores of Loch Rannoch, take in the magnificent views of Schiehallion, stretching on to Rannoch Moor and Glencoe.
Our leisure manager, Tom and his team offer paddleboarding lessons which are perfect for first time boarders or hire for the full day and set off on your own adventure. Bespoke guided kayaking tours also available on request including Sunset kayaking experiences.
Watersport hire is available for 2 hours, 4 hours or the full day.

TICK A MUNRO OFF YOUR LIST
The start point of Schiehallion is well sign posted, starting in Braes of Foss Car Park on the south side of Kinloch Rannoch, approximately 5 miles from the hotel. The car park does fill up quickly especially during the Summer (remember change for the meter) so we recommend arriving early to ensure a parking space. Alternatively, transport can be arranged for groups through the hotel for transport to and from Schiehallion. Get in touch at enquiries@lochrannochhotel.com.
Named as the 2nd best Munro for Beginners by Visit Scotland, this relatively gentle climb has rewarding views across Loch Rannoch and surrounding areas. Read more details on the Schiehallion route.

SCENIC DRIVE TO RANNOCH STATION
For a more relaxing day, if outdoor activities isn’t your thing or the Scottish weather isn’t cooperating, pay a visit to Rannoch Station. Take the scenic drive, around 30 minutes from the hotel, past the end of Loch Rannoch and through the vast moorlands.
Learn about the history of the Great Moor of Rannoch, a Site of Special Science Interest (SSSI) at the Visitor Centre on the platform or visit the infamous Rannoch Station Tearoom for delicious home-made cakes and friendly staff. If you are lucky, you may even spot some wild deer roaming.
Make it a longer trip and ride the West Highland Way from Rannoch to Mallaig, voted the most scenic train journey in the UK, via the Glenfinnan Viaduct featured a number of times in the Harry Potter series, written by J.K Rowling.
VISIT THE QUEEN’S VIEW POINT
Less than a 10 minute drive from the hotel, the Queen’s View is referenced as one of the most photographed areas in Scotland. And its clear why, offering spectacular views looking up Loch Tummel to Schiehallion.
Beautiful in all seasons with optional walks to suit every ability and a wander around the Visitor Centre, perfect for a day out with the little ones.

Around 15 minute’s drive from Kinloch Rannoch in Blair Atholl, The House of Bruar is the UK’s leading Scottish Country Clothing store, stocking brands including Harris Tweed, Hunter, Dubarry and Jack Wolfskin.
With some beautiful walks such as Falls of Bruar, as well as a Food Hall and Gallery, the perfect afternoon outing to explore.
